Ashley Sherman is 21 years old. She currently lives and works in Orlando Florida. Ashley was born missing the lower half of her right hand and had to learn to adapt in a world that wasn’t made for her. Although she grew up different, she never let anyone stop her. She grew up working with and competing horses all the way up to a national level. She grew up on a farm with 12 horses to take care of. She also started dancing and being on dance team from 6th grade all the way up to senior year of high school, again competing at a national level. Ashley started diving when she was 16 in Tortola where her grandfather lived and has been hooked on it ever since. The ocean has been a big part of her life and she would do anything to protect it. Now she works as a scuba diver at an aquarium, teaching hundreds of people about what they can do to protect the oceans and teaching them about the animals that live in it. Her ultimate career goal is to be a motivational speaker for kids and adults with limb differences.
